The BFC (Big Friendly Calculator)

The BFC is an on-screen calculator which is designed for the teacher to use with the whole class during mathematics lessons.
It is an ideal resource to use in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard.
It can also be used by pupils when they are working at the computer and need an on-screen calculator.

Here are just a few of The BFC's features:

• The BFC Blue has all the normal features of a four-function, 8-digit calculator.
• The BFC Red has a memory facility, a square-root key and a 10-digit display.
• Both versions can be made bigger or smaller to suite your requirements - make it fill the screen to give class demonstrations or tuck it away in the corner of your screen and use it when needed.
• The Calculation List facility enables you to view all of the calculations you have made. Use this to discuss the calculations with the whole class, and to explore the number patterns associated with various calculations.
• The Calculation Lists can be saved as text files (and then opened in any word-processing package) or printed out directly.
